Worship continues at Presentation-Sacred Heart.  From week-to-week information will be relayed through the two websites, Flocknote, telephone message, and signs on the church doors.

Weekday Mass is celebrated.

COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS

FOR RELIGIOUS SERVICES & ACTIVITIES

  • Hand sanitizer is provided at the entrances to the church
  • For now, we will not resume the sign of peace
  • Holy water fonts will remain empty
  • Communion from the chalice will not resume right now.  We continue to be encouraged to receive only in the hand rather than on the tongue
  • The six feet requirement may be eliminated, given that the CDC has advised that fully vaccinated individuals do not need to maintain physical distance
  • Each parish should continue to engage in enhanced cleaning of the church and all gathering places
  1. The CDC has advised that fully vaccinated individuals no longer need to wear masks in most circumstances.  The department of health strongly recommends masks in indoor settings where the vaccination status of individuals is unknown.
  2. A "physical distance section" within the church remains for those who engage in physical distancing.  Our churches are open to the public as a welcome place for people regardless of vaccination status.  There are many fully vaccinated individuals who wish to continue to wear masks and maintain distance.  (The "physical distance section" at Sacred Heart is in the chapel area, with folding chairs.)
  3. No one will be asked to produce a vaccination card, identify his or her vaccination status, or be designated to certain areas of the church by his or her status.  We rely on the honesty of people regarding their vaccination status.

Prayer to End Coronavirus Pandemic

-Pope Francis

O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey

as a sign of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick.
At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus' pain.

You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need.
We are certain that you will provide, so that,
as you did at Cana of Galilee,
joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.

Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform ourselves to the Father's will
and to do what Jesus tells us:
He who took our sufferings upon Himself,

and bore our sorrows to bring us,
through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.

We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.
Do not despise our pleas - we who are put to the test - and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
