Welcome to Sacred Heart Church

Good News, Parents!  Religious Education Registration and Re-registration Starts NOW

"What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?...So also faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead...Demonstrate your faith to me without works, and I will demonstrate my faith to you from my works."  James 2:14,17,18bc.

Building on the example and cooperation of our parents and guardians, the first formators of Catholic children, our Religious Education team of clerics, catechists, and other volunteers strives to show our children and youths how to LIVE the Catholic FAITH with the WORKS of their prayers, words, choices, and deeds in our families, at our parish, in the greater Church, and in society.

Fr. Rojas, our new Administrator, and Mrs. Metelski, our Coordinator of Religious Education, are happy to encourage our parents to register their children entering first to ninth grades into the new year of Religious Education.  Although letters and forms have been mailed already to parents who have had children enrolled in our program, we welcome the opportunity to help more Catholic parents to raise the next generation of committed Catholics through our program.  For new registrations or questions about re-registrations, kindly call Mrs. Metelski at 845/384-6828 or contact her at religiouseducation@presentationsacredheart.org

Let's make the most of this moment, especially because fees will increase on September 1st.  Given that classes will start on September 15th and in fairness to our dedicated corps of volunteer catechists, we cannot guarantee that there will be spots available after September 15th in our program.  Any questions on this matter should go to Fr. Rojas (tel. 845/331-0053 or 684-3828 or frrojas@presentationsacredheart.org).

In August, the men will have their turn at Sacred Heart!

PIME  Missionaries

The weekend of July 31 and August 1, there will be a presentation at all Masses about the work of the PIME Missionaries.  Founded in Italy in 1850, PIME Missionaries are priests and brothers who dedicate themselves as lifelong messengers of the Gospel to those who have not yet heard the Word of God.  They live and work alongside the poorest among us in 19 countries, shedding light on the silent struggles of our brothers and sisters in the missions and connecting them to those with a spirit to help.  Thanks in advance for your prayerful generosity at the second collection this Saturday evening and Sunday!  Find out more at www.pimeusa.org
